Welcome to the home of the Dartmouth Political Union, and thank you for stopping by! The DPU is a monthly debating society between the various political ideologies represented on campus, hosted by PoliTALK and the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy. The parties of the union include: Socialists, Liberals (Sponsored by the College Democrats), Centrists, Libertarians (Sponsored by the College Libertarians), and Conservatives. Our current speaker is Brice Acree.

Message from the Speaker of the Union

First and foremost, I would like welcome you to the Union website, and extend my thanks to you for showing interest in the organization.

The Dartmouth Political Union is truly an outstanding organization, bringing together, if even for a mere hour at a time, a diverse cross section of the student body. Together, the members of the Union and their guests make possible the free exchange of ideas that has always set Dartmouth apart in our constant pursuit of the ultimate liberal arts experience.

A vigorous pursuit of these ideals must, then, always be at the forefront of our minds as we seek to steer the Union into the future. In that spirit, if you have ideas about future topics of debate, future events or any other issues that you wish to address, please do not hesitate to contact me.
